I was a little skeptical at first, buying sight unseen. This product seemed a little too good to be true, but it was a lot better than some of the alice packs here on amazon.
Just received the product and as stated in some other reviews, It was not as pictured above. Actually, to my surprise, it was MUCH better.
The material is really strong. Usually with the cheaper stuff a good hard tug and it falls to pieces, but this nylon material is as strong as they say.
The outside pockets make for easy access to your items and the middle pocket is about twice the size as in the picture. The frame is light but tough and there is a small welding bead in the middle were the bars cross for added strength. The lining is indeed water proof(poured water in it) and there are metal vents in the pockets.
The only thing I was a little disappointed in was the kidney pad and straps, but I know from experience that it depends on you. I usually prefer the molle-2 kidney pad and straps. Overall, Wonderful product and I will be ordering another for my friend.
