This is one of the best value bags you can get on amazon. Ive used this bag from laptop carrying to college books and its held up, it has three dividers which are helpfull for class management as well as paper filing if your going to be using this in a office or job setting. The dividers however dont go all the way to the bottom so small items will end up tumbling around down there. There is a smaller pocket however for the small items which is not that small and can hold a ton of stuff including a graphing calculator. The "Ribs" on the small outside pocket hold pens and pencils but you have to figure how to minipulate them in there so they dont fall out. The denim fabric is awsome and very durable, i put iron on patches on mine and it still washes without a problem. The shoulder strap is very comfortable for a person like myself with back problems even though it is very minimalistic the fabric does provide cushioning. It can hold a standard size laptop as well as a netbook. It could also probably be used as a tool bag with tons of room for misc tools. The customazation of this bag is endless depending on how much time you want to spend on it, such as you can buy military pockets and sew them onto the sides of this bag, or if your not that handy im sure staples or rivets should do the trick. I also attach pins to it for design and when you remove the pin the hole dissipates as though you never put one there. The only problem i can see someone having is using it in the rain/snow, which could be easily fixed with water-proof spray on chemical which can be bought from your local hardware store. Definatly would recommend it to others, specially college students.
