This is my third Propper tactical shirt. The last two I've owned were incredibly rugged shirts. A very heavy fabric, strong seams, etc. It's my first time getting the lightweight tactical version though.

There are many differences:
-As you might guess, the fabric is much thinner and lighter. Still seems solid, as it has the grid-like 'ripstop' fabric like you see in military BDU's. It also conforms to movement much better than heavy fabric.

-It isn't a button down shirt! Behind the faux buttons is a zipper. I have my concerns about how the zipper will hold up vs buttons in the long run. Nonetheless, it's still much quicker to take off than a regular button down shirt.

-The pockets are't buttoned, either! Behind the button is velcro. Much more accesible!

-Behind the chest pockets, ARE TWO MORE POCKETS! Although you can't see it, there is a zipper concealed behind a hidden flap on each side. The pockets are huge! Big enough to hold a 16oz energy drink can and still zip up easily! Although it's really obvious you have it stuffed in your shirt..Still useful!

-It comes in size XS. Normally I just get the S, which is somewhat baggy on me due to my more skinny frame. At 5'10 and 155 This shirt fits like it was tailored for me! I don't know why, but it seems the original tactical shirts are impossible to find in size XS.

All in all, it seems like it will be a great shirt. I love the pockets! My only concern is the durability of the zipper.
