For the past several years I've been collecting all kinds of tactical gear, intended for if I was ever in an airsoft level competition or just because it seemed cool to get at the time. This being my first pair of shin pads/guards I'll give my two cents about them and you as the future customers can take it from there.

I'm about 5'6" in height and the L/XL size that I have here fits me pretty good. As the description says it has three velcro straps to fasten them to your legs, and the foot guard on the bottom are removable if you don't want them. If you have a good strong pair of legs the weight with these guards on shouldn't be a problem, but if you are trying to be stealthy you might want to remove the bottom foot guards because they tend to make noise, especially if you wear boots like I do.

All in all, I would highly recommend these guards both from an affordable price level, and from the build quality that I've seen from Rothco.
