BellyLady Belly Dance Three-layer Chiffon Hemming Skirt, Tiered Maxi Skirt Review

I'm 5'4", and this skirt is just a teensy bit too long. If I were wearing shoes, it would probably be okay, but I'll be performing barefoot, so I'll either have to pull it up over my belly button, or pin it up just a wee bit at the bottom. The fabric is also super static-clingy -- after enough spinning around, it can feel like an electrical storm is going on around your legs. This is also a bit too poofy to ever wear under a beledi dress, but this probably isn't a skirt you want to hide under anything, anyway.

Aside from that, this is a great skirt. Very pretty, nice spin, nice layering. The folds make it pretty enough on its own, but it's basic enough that it doesn't detract from a hip scarf. There are so many layers -- it's a touch heavy, but not distractingly so -- and I worried it might get hot, but it's surprisingly cool. I'm a fat girl (let's not beat around the bush), and elastic is usually never a fat girl's friend, but this waistband was really comfortable -- no pinching, no muffintopping, it fit like it was made for me. Great skirt, would highly recommend.

Bought this for Oktoberfest and I had TONS of compliments. I had two people tell me that whatever I paid for that dress, it was worth it. I ordered a 50 which translates to a real woman size of about a women's 20. The bodice fits very snug - and a hint, if you have a c cup or above, hold your bust above the lace while someone zips you up and then tuck your bust back in for modesty after you are zipped. I didn't figure this out the first time, but when I put it on the second time, did this, and it was markedly easier to put on. If you have curvy hips, you'll be fine, the skirt is super-full and twirls beautifully while doing the polka and Fliegerlied. The top can be worn modestly or brazenly and the fabric was very light and comfortable. I gave 4 stars ONLY because the waist fit about 3 inches above my waist and that was a bit bothersome and there are no pockets. I will definitely buy another dirndl from this company.

I am 5'8, 134 pounds and size 36 fits great (I usually wear a US 4-6). The front has ties which give the option of making it a little wider or tighter depending on what you need. Only challenge is the blouse which is a little big in the front since with a 36 B cup (small B) my chest is not quite big enough to fill it out. I am hoping that a really good push up bra will help. I am from Germany (born and raised) and am having an Oktoberfest at our house for the first time. I can't afford an original dirndl like the one I had as a little girl (with embroidery etc.). Those are several hundreds of dollars. For the prize I think this one is a great deal. It has the original look and judging from the tag on the dress (it is in German) these dirndls are either from Germany or also sold there. When I tried it on I definitely felt excited about our Oktoberfest party. This one is a lot more original that the really short ones that are meant to be sexy and can be found all over the internet. At the real Oktoberfest in Munich no German would wear those (the sexy ones). I can absolutely recommend this dress. It is well made and 100% cotton and feels good to wear.

I bought this thing for hiking and sports. I also use it while working at my mtn house and it takes serious abuse. It deflects briars and every sort of sharp crap including rusty barbed wire the other day. Already has proved itself. One thing, I measured as I was supposed to but the design does not allow any measurement error at all. I would up having it altered 3" after it arrived. Even with the alterations I am very happy with the price and quality.

Great kilt, it is my first, looks good. Make sure you get the right measurement. It has snaps for the waist and the hips, so measure both. In my case it fits my waist, but is tight on the hips. This is more of an issue for thin people, if the abs are flat, then take the measure at the hips.
