Fun costume piece, but BE WARNED! The elastic waist on this skirt is not very stretchy. I am tall and wear a US size 4. This skirt, even when hiked up around my natural waist, is tight enough to cut in. Way too tight to wear lower on the hips as shown, as one would do for belly dance.

The 23.6" measurement given is the relaxed size of the (not so stretchy) elastic opening. I cannot imagine how someone with a 39.4" waist would ever get this on!

My order took ten days to arrive. I would return it, but the high shipping cost is just not worth it. I will not buy any more clothing from this seller, because I feel the measurements are probably untrustworthy. Too bad, because finding stuff like this locally is impossible.
